Everyone, please read these posts by anonymous CCP employees: Link
Over the past 3 years, CCP employees have rated job satisfaction at and average of 2.4 out of 10
Here are some examples:
"Managers tend to hide things from the staff and are more reactive than proactive. The company has asked for trust yet has done nothing but hide facts and information from the staff to create a level of distrust and anxiety never seen before."
"The salary is not conform (roughly 30% on average below and no annual or other adjustments for inflation or currency values) industry standards for either side of the Atlanic"
"All that remains is the social interaction between select groups at CCP. Apathy quickly sets in with new people, no matter how much you try to involve them and encourage them. Initiatives from staff to counter this do exist, but really need embracing by management. Do not misunderstand me, it is a wonderful place to be. But it is not a place to work for long."

When will we get answers from the CEO instead of having Hilmar and the board of directors/investors set up straw men?
CCP has lost all touch with its player base and is sacrificing some of its historically nicest and most amiable employees.

What we are doing is we are canceling our subscriptions.
Read into it a bit more.
What he is saying is essentially this, "People are claiming they will cancel their sub's, but we know they won't actually do it and instead they will just keep playing."
They care no longer for this game.

Apparently their customers are just random guys on the internet?
CCP has fallen to an insulting level of unprofessionalism.

Good job, halt the landslide by removing the option to cancel.
Yeah I am having the same problems
What you need to do now is report the recurring charge to your credit card company as an unwanted charge being imposed on you by CCP.
Request that the charge be reversed.

Was that extra $3000 really worth ****ing off a large % of your playerbase (including the thousands of players whom have cancelled subscriptions)?
At least 1000 subs have been confirmed removed. That is 15/month * 1000 := 15,000 per month lost (Enough to pay for a few headcount, at least one dev if not several underpaid devs) in return for that 3000 in monocle money.
It's a huge net loss, and any CEO who says that is a good thing should be fired.
You might want to think about the fact that the $3000 (actually a fair bit higher) was earned in a day or so, then do your math again.
Take your time.
And the 1000 cancellations has been during less than a day.
STAY THE COURSE
